Poster Power! The Role of Art in Making Change
Rosenberg Library, R305, 6-8pm. Presentation followed by light refreshments
In conjunction with our current exhibition, In the Classroom: Social Justice Posters, Jessalyn Aaland, artist and educator, will talk about her Class Set project which offers transformational posters designed by Bay Area artists to K-12 educators. Inspired by the challenges that teachers face and by the work of Corita Kent, she will engage with the audience about the role of art in our lives and in the classroom.
We will have a set of limited edition posters created by Emerge Studio to give out to the first 25 attendees.
