The 3 Bs: Books, Bindings & Boxes

April 8-October 7, 2010
Rosenberg Library, Ocean Campus

Rosenberg Library is proud to present a collection of beautiful and unusual handmade books created in the CCSF Graphics Department, in the Book Structures, Boxes Binding class taught by Carrie Galbraith (Grph 153).
The books employ a variety of bindings and forms, themes and materials. Cord, copitc and tape bindings are combined with shrinky dink, diaper pins and doorbells. Forms include the star book, accordion fold, tunnel book, pop-up and Jacob’s ladder. Themes range from cities, libraries and love to god, communist collectives and smoking. Many books are made by first time bookmakers.
